We found out on the 4th of July that our little family would be getting a bit bigger (happy Independence Day to us!), and that our little clover would be due to join us on St. Patrick's Day (3/17/14). We were all overjoyed about it! Seriously, I've always prided myself on being a festive person, but do we know how to celebrate holidays at our house, or what??

At the beginning of September I had a chance to get a quick peek at Baby #2, just to make sure things were still going ok in there, and everything looked good! Baby was calm and sleepy, and kept obstinately rolling away from the tech who needed to get measurements. It was cute, but kind of annoying (definitely a Smith child already!) Also, I may be crazy, but I think this kid is going to be a luchador...

 October 2nd we got our second ultrasound and we found out...

 We were having a little boy!!

After a long wait, but a week early, Declan Kelsier Smith arrived on Monday, March 10th, at 2:26 pm. He was born on the first day of Daddy's spring break, just like Mommy had hoped, after 10 1/2 hours of labor (although, about 4 of those were spent in transition!!).

We are so incredibly excited for this little one to join our family, and we can't wait to see what adventures we have ahead of us! He is absolutely amazing, we love him so much already!!
