Miss Evie May

I took a pregnancy test on April 1st, 2011... and it was negative! Somehow I think that was just the worst April Fools joke EVER, because a couple days later we got this:

A positive pregnancy test at last! Our little twosome was finally on its way to becoming a family :)

In July we got our very first peek at this new little person, and we found out that we were having a very energetic little GIRL!

Evie was born on Thursday, December 8th, 2011 at 11:45 am (after 19 hours of un-medicated labor!).  She was 6 lbs, 3 oz, and honestly the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life! 

 Even before she was born she was a very active, energetic child, and now that her personality is coming out more and more, we are realizing just what a fire cracker she really is!!  She is a very smiley, happy little girl.  She's also incredibly active and determined (which makes her handful... but a darn cute one!).

Evie is a little smarty pants and so ambitious; she's learned a lot very early! She started sitting up when she was about 4 months old, was sitting unassisted at 5 months, was getting into sitting by herself at 6 months, was crawling just before she turned 7 months, and was walking just before she turned 9 months. At 18 months she knows 21 of the letters in the alphabet, knows well over 100 words (and is using 2 word sentences), and knows a few of her colors.

 

 Evie is very nurturing, she loves babies and children and is always trying to take care of them! She'll turn anything into a baby. She loves hugs and kisses :) Evie is also very adventurous and loves a challenge. She likes climbing on anything she can find!

We love this little one so incredibly much, I can't even imagine life without her!!
